Jason D. Burns, MD Board Certified Ophthalmologist – Cataract and Refractive Surgeon Board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology, Jason Burns, M.D. is a general ophthalmologist who specializes in cataract and refractive surgery. He received his Bachelor of Science in Biology degree and medical degree from the University of Missouri-Columbia, Missouri, both with cum laude honors. Practicing in San Antonio for over 19 years, Dr. Burns moved to the area after completing his medical residency in Galveston. He grew up in Sedalia, Missouri. As a junior in college, he participated in biomedical research program in Galveston, and fell in love with the town.
